Terms of Use
Terms for Atlas
These terms explain the ground rules for using Atlas to plan trips, collaborate, save itineraries, and work with AI-generated travel suggestions.
Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to Atlas by Edith, including the portal, trip planning chat, itinerary tools, saved trips, shared pages, draft previews, collaboration features, and related services.
By using Atlas, you agree to these Terms. If you use Atlas for a company, team, or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization or person.
Accounts and Access
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, devices, and activity under your account. Keep access links private and only invite collaborators who should be able to view or edit the relevant trip.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Do not share credentials or bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, or security features.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or a shared trip link has been compromised.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Atlas to harm the service, other users, third parties, or travel providers.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious content.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, attack, or disrupt Atlas or its providers.
- Do not use Atlas to plan or facilitate fraud, harassment, exploitation, violence, or illegal activity.
- Do not misrepresent generated itineraries as official guidance from governments, airlines, hotels, embassies, medical professionals, or legal professionals.
Travel Planning Is Informational
Atlas provides planning assistance and itinerary suggestions. Travel information can change quickly, including prices, hours, weather, routes, visa rules, safety conditions, accessibility, availability, and local restrictions.
You are responsible for confirming important details with official sources and travel providers before booking or traveling. Atlas does not guarantee that a suggested place, route, schedule, price, booking option, or travel requirement will be accurate or available.
Before a trip, verify passports, visas, health requirements, transit rules, safety advisories, reservation details, cancellation policies, and accessibility needs through official or provider sources.
Bookings and Third Parties
Atlas may reference hotels, restaurants, attractions, maps, photos, booking sites, or other third-party services. Those third parties are independent from Atlas and may have their own terms, prices, privacy policies, fees, cancellation rules, and support processes.
If you book through or interact with a third party, your relationship is with that third party, not Atlas, unless we clearly state otherwise in a written agreement.
Your Content
You keep ownership of content you submit to Atlas, such as prompts, trip notes, preferences, comments, uploaded details, and edits. You grant Atlas a license to host, process, display, modify, and use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit content to Atlas and for ensuring that shared trips or collaboration spaces do not expose private information to unintended viewers.
AI Output
Atlas uses AI systems to generate plans, summaries, routes, and recommendations. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, similar to output given to other users, or based on outdated or imperfect source data.
Review generated content before relying on it. You are responsible for deciding whether a plan is appropriate for your budget, schedule, health, safety, mobility, and travel constraints.
Payments and Future Paid Features
Atlas does not currently offer paid subscriptions or paid in-product purchases. The service may include free, limited, preview, or beta features while the product is still evolving.
If paid features are introduced later, pricing, renewal terms, taxes, cancellation rights, refund rules, and any payment processor terms will be shown before purchase or in the applicable plan terms.
Atlas Intellectual Property
Atlas, Edith, the portal design, software, workflows, branding, and service content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Atlas technology or branding.
You may use Atlas only as permitted by these Terms and the product interface.
Changes, Beta Features, and Availability
Atlas is evolving. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, including experimental and beta features. We try to avoid disruption, but we do not guarantee that every feature, route, draft, or integration will remain available indefinitely.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Atlas or others, used the service unlawfully, or caused security, legal, operational, or reputational harm.
You may stop using Atlas at any time. Certain provisions, including ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and dispute-related terms, survive termination where appropriate.
Disclaimers
Atlas is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Limitations of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Atlas and its owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, travel disruption, booking losses, or third-party conduct.
Where liability cannot be excluded, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Disputes and Governing Law
If a dispute arises, contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any formal dispute will be handled under the governing law and forum that apply to your agreement with Atlas, or otherwise as required by applicable law.
